The World Health Organization (WHO) warns that the incidence of hepatitis and fatty liver globally as well as in Vietnam is increasing and getting younger. In addition to viral hepatitis B and C - the main causes of dangerous liver diseases, fatty liver is increasing alarmingly. About 30% of the world's population has fatty liver disease.

Liver diseases often progress silently and without obvious symptoms. Patients often detect them late, many people are hospitalized when the disease is in a severe stage. Hepatitis or fatty liver can lead to liver fibrosis and liver cancer if not treated promptly. According to statistics from the Ministry of Health, each year, Vietnam records 26,418 new cases of liver cancer, 25,272 deaths - the highest mortality rate among all types of cancer.
