Hpylori comprehensive support strategy

The scientific meeting was attended by leading, experienced experts and doctors from the Tam Anh General Hospital System, Ho Chi Minh City

Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) bacteria is the leading cause of many diseases of the digestive tract, especially diseases of the stomach and duodenum. H.pylori infection often progresses silently, without typical symptoms, but can lead to serious diseases such as chronic gastritis, atrophic gastritis, dysplasia, gastric carcinoma...

At Tam Anh General Hospital, H.pylori infection is diagnosed through many methods such as gastroscopy, C13 breath test, blood test, stool test, gastric tissue biopsy (taken during endoscopy)... In which gastroscopy is a quick, effective, simple method of diagnosing H.pylori infection with high accuracy.

To prevent the worsening of H.pylori infection, especially the risk of stomach cancer, close coordination between the doctor's regimen and the patient's absolute compliance with treatment is required. The regimen often includes a combination of drugs, mainly antibiotics and acid secretion inhibitors, used continuously for 10-14 days. Patients need to strictly follow the dosage and duration of medication. These are two factors that determine the success rate of eradicating H.pylori bacteria, especially in the context of increasing antibiotic resistance.

In addition to individualizing and optimizing the treatment regimen, doctors need to closely monitor unwanted side effects to promptly handle them, helping patients feel secure in continuing treatment. At the same time, patients are advised to maintain a healthy lifestyle: abstain from alcohol and tobacco, supplement green vegetables and foods rich in antioxidants, use probiotics to support the balance of intestinal microflora and improve treatment effectiveness.
